"You shouldn't speak of things that you do not know everything about. I don't need to see him to know that he's alive." He said shortly. He really didn't want to get into this with her. She was doing on purpose.
Still he wasn't going to mention that the conversation was indeed about his brother. She didn't know why Golbez was aware and keeping her wondering was enough for him. He himself knew that the reason that Cecil still breathed was because of his switch. He had been certain that his younger brother had survived; he had seen him disappear into the night. It was because that Golbez had done this that Cecil was still alive.
But Rosso didn't need to know that. Taking a deep breath, Golbez turned back towards the window in the hopes of ignoring her.

"Heh, must be your brotherly intuition then? How cute. You still care for the bastard," she sneered as he turned away. Rosso was still grinning. She was winning~
"Too bad you didn't take him with you when you left...I'm sure he wouldn't mind working for you or some of the higher generals," she added as she went back to examining her brazen claws. "Course he could've always been like that Kuja fellow and just sleep his way to the top." Rosso chuckled at the idea.

He ignored her words. Cecil was better than this wench and he wouldn't drag his brother's name through the mud by talking to her. "That's strange." He said very slowly, never looking at her. "I was about 100% certain that the person sleeping their way up was you. After all in a normal world that would be the only way for maniacs to rise."
He wasn't going to play this game and he wasn't going to let her get to him. Let's just see her try.

Rosso scoffed, "Ha, like I have time for that sort of mischief! Someone of my standard wouldn't possibly allow his or herself to be thrown around like some common whore. I don't know if you haven't noticed, but I am rising in the ranks and it is NOT because I spread my legs."
What kind of fool was he with even suggesting that? Most men usually avoided her, and that's how she liked to keep it. "And what about you, Lord Among-the-Ten? How is it that you were so quickly appointed a rank with the Ten over night, hmm? Have you done your share of fooling around?" Rosso cackled.

"I've done my share of work." He said simply. He wasn't about to discuss this with her; it had nothing to do with her or most anyone in the palace. Very few knew how he had come to be where he was and it was supposed to stay that way.

"I'm sure you have," she chuckled. This was beginning to get boring now...what else could she say to piss him off? Hm...
"Disgraceful," she snorted. "I don't understand what they see in you. You are, afterall, just a Mage." Rosso wasn't much for magic wielders. Except maybe White Mages...when they were being useful. But other than that she saw nothing to them. The woman prided herself in physical abilities rather than tactical fireworks.

"Just a mage?" He half-glanced at her, unwilling to take the bait. "I'll have you know that being backhanded by me would probably hurt as much as being hit by a sword. And as for you I wouldn't expect what you can do. It's impressive but for someone who can look so lovely I'd expect a more graceful career."
If she wanted to take the rude route he'd just take the flattering one. They both came up to the same road in the end.

"Oh please, I could slit your throat before you could even think about slapping me with your oversided, meat clubs," she replied with a sarcastic tone.
Rosso raised an eyebrow at his last comment. Now what was he trying to get at? She was insulting him for heaven's sake! She gave him a skeptical look, "Compliments from the likes of you aren't going to get you anywhere. I was born into a world of war and I shall die in it. It is the only occupation that suits me, I think."

Again he ignored her more scathing remarks.
"You think." said Golbez, using her own words. "But you're not sure. No one is really sure until they try." He shrugged lightly. Born into one world only meant that she knew just that world. She didn't know if she was good at other things.

"And how do you know that I'm unsure?" She asked with a harsh tone. "Your philosophical tactics bore me... To live the life of a common housewife would be disgraceful. No respect, no excitement. Little hellions to take care of. That is the only other career for a woman in this day and age. To be condemned to such a fate....it is unthinkable." And now her feminist ways were showing.

He could feel the feminist vibes coming off her. Glancing to the side with only his eyes, he was unable to see her through the helmet and had to remind himself that there was an iron curtain obscuring the man underneath from the rest of the world. Women could do plenty... Shopkeeping wasn't an uncommon job for them.
"I suppose our opinions are simply different."

Boring. His philosophical ways were beginning to make her impatient. "Yes, but it is my opinion that keeps others from questioning me...unlike you," she said with a swift nod.
She paused, her visage turning more calm, and thought of something more serious. Something that had been bothering her a little. "I hear Lord Chaos has taking leave. Do you know what might be the cause of this?" Rosso asked with raised eyebrows. "You are one of the Ten, surely you should know something."

"Leave?" Would explain why it was more silent. However, he had a feeling he knew why. Maybe. "Rumours are spreading of lands untouched by Lord Chaos. Perhaps he's gone to see and to deal with them personally if they turn out to be real. Why else would one leave his seat of power?"

((So sorry for the delay!!))
She tapped her chin thoughtfully. It made sense. And a hunger for power and control like Lord Chaos had could only be satisfied by gaining more. But what other lands still remained untouched? "I suppose it makes sense. And it's not like others can really oppose him. I just would have thought he'd let his men go fight for him...curious indeed."

"Some would prefer to do the work themselves. I myself cannot say for sure but Lord Chaos does not seem the type to constantly sit idly by as the world turns. If its going to turn it will turn at his pace after all."
