{ A quick doodle I whipped up of his normal attire }
Psychological
Personality: Terra is reserved, for the most part, with a kind smile and disciplined manner of behavior. He makes it a point to act as gentlemanly as possible, but also has a cunning side that he does not make as obvious. While kind and dutiful, he struggles with an inner darkness that feeds off of his sometimes foolish impulsiveness and desire to deliver payback unto anyone that has wronged him or things important to him.
Intelligence: To an unknowing civilian, Terra would seem like nothing more than quiet, respectful man with an average intelligence; but he is much more acute than he lets on. A skilled vendor and tradesmen, he is quick-witted when his vocation requires it, and has an extensive store of economical knowledge. He is well adept at swordplay techniques, as well.
Sexuality: Terra enjoys the company of both males and females, generally indiscriminate upon who to share his bed with.
Combat
Weapons: Earthshaker (Keyblade) and various magical attacks.
Abilities: Terra has great ability as a swordsman, being instructed on the ways of the blade as a young child until he was a full-fledged adult. He utilizes blades with long reach and wide, powerful swings to bring assailants down. He is not as quick and agile as someone smaller than he would be, but he makes up for it in strength alone. He also knows a few spells, mostly relying on thunder and fire magic to aid him when sheer power isn’t enough to get him out of trouble.
Weaknesses: Terra is bulky and sometimes too slow to land a hit on someone who is much quicker than he is, and being human, is still susceptible to magical attacks that take a large toll on his ability to withstand an assault.
History
Terra was raised in a village far to the north, surrounded by heavily wooded areas and people who worshiped pagan deities. His earliest childhood memories were of grand harvest festivals and assisting his parents, who owned a comfortable Inn that housed mainly traveling soldiers and merchants. From a young age, Terra had dreamed of being a master swordsman and joining the ranks of a powerful military, adorned with shiny armor and duties that out-shined washing wooden floors and doing laundry. When he was ten, he began swordplay instruction under the village smith, who happened to be an ex-soldier and willing to teach Terra the basics if he helped the older gentleman out with his work. Until Terra was seventeen, he studied under the old man, learning the ways of the sword and other scholastic necessities that he would require as a young man.
Eventually, though, the man he had called teacher and eventually “friend” disappeared into the night. He left no indication of where he had fled to, or for whatever reason; only a single piece of signed parchment, leaving Terra his collection of metalcraft and the stall he sold out of, having no immediate family. Among the things left to him were several fine sets of armor, an abundance of weaponry, and repair tools for wagons and large carts, as well as the man’s horse. He figured he could sell the items in a nearby city to turn a profit, and perhaps, set out to the larger, grander cities in the south. However, the rest of his village had begun suspecting Terra of poisoning the old man and burying his body in the woodlands that surrounded, simply to reap his stocks and take advantage of his kindness. His mother and father, among the few who did not suspect Terra of anything, urged him to take the wears left to him and enjoy his life in the open, as he’d always wanted to do.
Thinking it through, Terra remembered the tales of the traveling merchants that had always come to their Inn while he was growing up. They always had such fascinating stories, and had taught Terra much about the ways of tradesmen and the value of the coin. Terra was intrigued by the aspect of becoming a traveling merchant, and with the aid of a pouch of coins and a large cart given to him by his parents, he departed his home village with the horse and wares he had been left, off to face his future in cities much grander than the ones he’d grown up seeing.
A year into his travels, while poking around in a shady city full of alchemists and sketchy characters, Terra acquired the Earthshaker, a weapon known as a Keyblade. He had heard the old man talk of these weapons before, but not in detail- he fell into infatuation with its design and the way it rested comfortably in his hand. He parted with much of his stock to earn it, but he soon found out the purchase was well worth his toiling. He began to do conduct a large percent of his budding business with alchemists, in exchange for some of their skilled members to teach him spells they had learned in their travels.
After six years and an abundance of experience, Terra found himself in the heart of the cities southernmost from the forests and wheat fields he was raised around. This was the heart of the land’s trade; full of eager buyers and wealthy businessmen, all whom Terra relied heavily upon to spend every coin on his wares. He had become accustomed to mainly selling armor and weaponry with the occasional stock of fur and spices, when the time was right to purchase them. He’d had many an opportunity to practice with the Earthshaker and the various spells he had learned throughout his travels, becoming adept at combat through his experiences with the bandits and greedy governors that plagued his journey.
Now, one can generally find him in the main city of Chaos’ territory, conducting his business with a plethora of people ranging from normal businessmen to the occasional lunatic. He has stockpiled a good inventory of weapons, armor, and fur from the merchant’s guild he belongs to, and spends his time pushing his wares and buying from other tradesmen in the marketplace. However, he does spend time holed up in his room at the Inn, practicing his spells in private, or touching up his blade technique in the vast and open land outside of the city’s limits -- but not for too long; a wise merchant never leaves his fortunes unattended for long amounts of time!
