As the men spoke Enkidu stayed at Cecil's side in hopes of getting any more attention.
"Ah so this place is called Cornelia... " Gilgamesh spoke to himself quietly as he took a moment to burn the city's name into his mind. when Cecil's composure seemed to have changed at Firion's words the swordsman couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and question the weapon master. "Blessed be who's name? sorry if I sound rude for asking but as a foreigner myself I'm quite out of the loop about the history of this area as well as what's going on 'round here nowadays." He looked at all three men in way to signal to them that if they knew something about the city that he'd be willing to listen.
He wasn't going to lie that he didn't know the place. And he knew that the best way to learn information is to ask those who know it. though with the way things seemed around here he had his doubts that any information was going to be easily given to him. but hey.. it didn't hurt to ask... right?

Terra observed the subtle, but meaningful interaction, keeping his countenance as unreadable as he could. He's spent a number of nights staying up at the inns visited throughout his travels, reading over books that contained secrets of the lands. The alchemists and magicians he had come across were always full of tales and useful facts, and in exchange for light services on Terra's part, they would often tell him stories and give him information over a pint. Granted, he did not know everything that had transpired, but he knew better than to blurt it so openly. Upon hearing Gilgamesh speak, he shot the man a small look, waving his hand dismissively. Even as a stranger, he was not going to risk anything.
"Perhaps," he began, a light smile tugging at his lips, "now is not the time for this conversation."

Cecil nodded in agreement with Terra. "However, I invite you all to come to my home and we can discuss things there if you wish," Cecil added with a small smile. "I understand if you have other business to attend, though." The Paladin went back to petting Ediku once again as he waited for their answer.

Firion glanced around him to make sure the guard's attention had not been drawn to their small group. He glanced at both Gilgamesh and Terra, knowing by Cecil's reaction that he had some connection to the fallen goddess. That was enough for Firion to trust him, at least a little.
"It is a Terra says, not a topic suited for open discussion... I know I will go with you, Cecil. There is much I would like to speak with you about," Firion stated, shifting a bit nervously. It had been some time since he had actually been able to network with someone who was for the goddess. It would be good to have allies, if not friends.
((Gah, sorry for the lateness.))

Cecil lit up and smiled at Firion. Perhaps it meant that the other trusted him. And that was something difficult to come by nowadays. Maybe he'd have some information regarding the Goddess or heard a rumor from somewhere. Or maybe he was planning to rise against Chaos...Cecil frowned at the thought. It was kind of foolish to think. He was just one man, and even if the Paladin joined him what then? There would be two of them against legions of Chaos's forces.
Cecil knelt down beside Ekidu. He made a kissy face and played with Ekidu's cheeks by rubbing them and shaking the demon-beast's head back and forth expressing his own exasperation.

"An invitation to your home huh? hmm Well if your humble abode can hold me then I would love to accept you kind invite. And if Enkidu can't come in I can just unsummon him so there's no worries there. But it looks like you like him too! Bwahaha!" after a loud cackle he placed a large hand on Terra's shoulder before asking the merchant.
"What about you? Will you be joining us? Of course I can understand if you can't. can't make money if you're not out there selling things." he smiled at the brunet before giving his back a gentle (well gentle for Gilgamesh XD) pat on the back.
Enkidu, on the other hand, was simply relishing in the playful attention Cecil was giving him. His tail wagged merrily as he waited for a chance to attack the half-lunarian's face with canine kisses.

Cecil smiled at the demon-dog's playful behavior. The Paladin had never owned a pet before, so he was more than happy to allow Enkidu into his home. Much like a someone who'd never had kids spoiled someone else's. "Of course, I have no problem with him coming inside! He's just to wonderful to say no to," he said before going back to lavishing the beast with pets and adoration.
He wasn't so sure about Gilgamesh, though, whether he could be trusted or not. It wasn't like it was very safe to go around telling everyone that he was a Paladin. Someone would turn him in, and then, well, Cecil didn't want to think about those consequences...
